The Wide World of Summer Fun
The summer months don’t just mean that the kids are out of school for a few months, it also ushers in some great weekends for working adults. It’s my favorite time of year, and I look forward to it. I spend my weeks at a boring job, but when the summer comes, I can’t wait for the weekend because I can have a great deal of fun. Some of my favorite things to do aren’t always sitting around and reading, they are fun in the sun in a variety of different ways.
My favorite activity in the summer is skateboarding. Yes, the mighty skateboarding world opens up for the summer and the local skateboard park is no longer under water nor is it too cold to enjoy. I spend many hours shooting down the vert, hitting the rails, and flying past the little kids with razor scooters. I guess I’m the old timer at the park, but it’s something that I’ve enjoyed since the 70′s and can’t give up now.
When I’m not skateboarding, I’m enjoying the extreme action from the many events that happen in the summer time. From the X-Games to the Maloof Money Cup, I make sure to tune in via direct TV to the biggest and the best in skateboarding.
The summer also lets me enjoy the pool a little more, and I get to use the pool in my backyard for more than a quick session when it’s empty. The world opens up for me in the summer, and I can’t wait for the warm weather to come into play.
